Fulong International Sand Sculpture Festival
The sand of Fulong Beach is made of quartz, with great malleability after being mixed in water. Fulong Beach is therefore recognized by the World Sand Sculpting Academy as the perfect place for sand sculpture in Taiwan. During Sand Sculpture Festival, local and foreign sand sculptors are invited to exchange their professional experience. Gongliao International Ho-Hai-Yan Rock Festival
Every summer, Gongliao Ho-Hai-Yan Rock Festival is the most sought-after event for rock bands and fans alike. Every year, over 100,000 musicians and fans participate in this grand music event. The performers, including wellknown domestic/foreign rock bands and underground bands, take turns to play on stage days and nights to present different kind of music in front of fans and music lovers.

Fulong Beach 福隆海水浴場

One of the beauties of Fulong Beach is the contrast of the river and the outer sea separated by a sand bed, a unique formation created by the Shuangxi River ( 雙溪河 ) along the Northeast Coast.Address: No. 40, Fulong Street, Fulong Village, Gongliao District, New Taipei City.

Aodi Seafood 澳底海鮮

Along the coastal highway, Aodi is famous for seafood restaurants. Walk around and you might see fishermen selling their latest catch!Address: Xingang St., Gongliao Dist., New Taipei City.
Getting there: 1. Take train to Fulong station and transfer to Keelung Bus to Aodi station. 2. Take Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Golden Fulong route to Aodi station.

Old Caoling Circular Bike Path 舊草嶺環狀自行車道

The Old Caoling Tunnel ( 舊草嶺隧道 ) was once the railway between Fulong ( 福 隆 ) and Shicheng ( 石城 ). After closed for more than 20 years, it has been refurbished and transformed into a bike path. The 2km-long old tunnel is now a railway museum adapted for bikers.Address: Fulong Village., Gongliao Dist., New Taipei City 228, Taiwan.

Caoling Historic Trail – silver grass season 草嶺古道－芒花季

Caoling Historic Trail is the cultural path most representative of the Northeast Coast. Each year between October and December, the trail will be covered with silver grass; the grass waves rippling, gentle swaying tidbits, like a white hot wave slope, like a dream. Autumn is the best season to visit.
